"On March 7^th, I lost my friend Susan Njeri Kimani to cancer. She and I were friends for more than 11 years in Kenya. She left behind two children ages 24 and 12. And four adopted nieces and nephews, ages 20, 17, 12 and 7.

I promised Susan, 6 years ago, before we left Kenya, that I would take care of her children if anything ever happened to her, not dreaming it would happen so soon. Cecilia, the 24-year-old, said she could care for them if the three youngest were in boarding school.

Cecilia found a boarding school for Ian and Isaac the 12-year-olds. I paid for the first term, and they started school on Wednesday, April 27. The 7-year-old will stay home and attend day school until she is 10.

School fees are $800 per year per child. To get all three children through secondary school will cost approximately $20,000. I am inviting you to be part of providing stability for these children in their time of grief and loss. A quarterly/yearly financial commitment from you, your family, or community group can help provide for the physical and educational needs of Susan's children."

What your giving will go towards:

• Yearly tuition is $800 per year, per child.
• Our goal is to raise $20,000 for all 3 children to finish high school.
