Panama: 90.54% of the population of Panama is considered Christian, with the 19.3% evangelicals growing at a healthy rate. Panama is becoming a missionary sending nation, with a number of churches, including Baptists, mobilizing the church in Panama for world missions. Please pray for greater unity, a renewed missions vision, and increased Biblical training for the church and for the missionaries they will send. Pray for Christians to exemplify righteous living in Christ, in the home and in the marketplace, so that they will speak the Gospel boldly into a nation troubled by social problems such as immorality, domestic violence, drug use, divorce and the care of illegitimate children. Pray for the filling of The Holy Spirit and God's Word in His people. Pray for a strong Gospel witness and impact on the multitudes of nationalities passing through and living in Panama, and beyond. "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!'" (Revelation 7:9-10).

Praying for Malaysia

Malaysian States - Perak (Kuala Kangsar, Kinta & Kampar Districts): Kuala Kangsar is the royal capital of Perak, where Malay College Kuala Kangsar was founded in order to educate the Malay elite such as government officials. The state capital of Perak is Ipoh, in the populous Kinta district, the 3rd largest city in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Women are not among the elite of Malaysia or in most of the Muslim world. However, women from all different faiths struggle with common insecurities and problems, included a double standard often set up by men, or by women themselves. Religious teachings may say that faithfulness to God is more important than physical beauty in a woman, yet men look for physical beauty by modern worldly standards rather than faithfulness to God according to religious teachings. Please pray for believers to have God-given courage to faithfully live out the Gospel before their families, co-workers, classmates and neighbors, modeling a strong and loving family life and most of all the Gospel. Pray that Gospel seeds will be sown and that as neighbors hear about Jesus, they will not be able to escape the story and implications of the truth of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ Jesus. Pray for unbelievers to repent and believe the Gospel. Pray for women to experience God's true love and find their worth and value in Him, not in being physically attractive or anything else. "Do not let your adorning be external--the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear--but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious." (1 Peter 3:3-4).
